What are the different Seresto collar sizes?

All dogs and cats should be protected from fleas and ticks. These pests can attack at any time of the year, including during winter. Our latitude does not expose them to extreme temperatures, they rage 365 days a year, even if the intermediate seasons such as spring and autumn are more favorable to them. Seresto offers various ranges of anti-flea and anti-tick collars that are suitable for both dogs and cats. Here's how to choose the Seresto collar size.

Once the collar is positioned, make a movement against the hair so that it comes into contact with the animal's skin to better distribute the pest control product over the entire body.

Its anti-flea and anti-tick action

Broad spectrum

The Seresto collar contains two active substances — imidacloprid and flumethrin — which act on the nerve cells of the parasites. Their synergy is equivalent to a veterinary drug that operates on a broad spectrum including ticks, fleas and biting lice, whether their favorite prey is a cat, a small dog or a large dog.

Regardless of the stage of evolution of the parasite

The Seresto collar affects ticks and fleas, whatever their stage of development. It prevents the development of larvae because it kills flea and tick larvae. It also eradicates adult fleas and ticks.

Long-lasting, preventive and curative

The treatment spreads gradually over 8 months. At the end of this period, the collar should be discarded and replaced. It acts in prevention, by dissuading the parasites from coming on the animal, but also attacks those which would have nevertheless settled in its coat by killing them.
